My 1992 honda civic hatchback seems like it looses fuel or floods?

  1. I have a 1992 Honda Civic hatchback with a B18 B1 engine with a stage 3 build. When I first got the car it seemed like once the vehicle got warmed up it would feel like it was loosing fuel or flooding. I had a buddy of mine help me advance the timeing in the distrubuter and it appeared to run a lil bit longer periods of time after that. Then i ran into to problem after not messing with it a day or two, when i took it out it seemed like my gears were governed low, didnt have power, and my RPM gauge didnt work. Id like to think it has something to do with my distrubuter but would like suggestions before i play process of elimination.

The loosing fuel or flooding could be it not get enoug fuel or to much and that could also effect the power to the fuel and air ratio go to be just right so it can run. To much fuel makes it burn to lean and is not getting enough air with the gas and is causing it to flood cause no air is mixing with the air to keep it running and if it is losing fuel it could be that it is getting to much air and not enough fuel. You going to have to mess with the air/ fuel ratio until it runs right if carbed you got to mess with screws to set the ratio, if fuel injected it is going to have to have a programer/tuner hooked to the dianostic port on the car.
