How to choose a good surface treatment for PCB?

Recently, I have read an article about PCB surface treatment . However that article introduces some ways to deal with the surface treatment of PCB, like hot air leveling (tin spraying), organic solderability preservative (OSP), all-plate nickel plating and so on. But the fact is I can't understand them. I have heard them from books or others, but never use them in practice. I just feel confused, so I need a more straightforward explanation, in other words, I need more details about this not only in theory but also in practice.

So here my question is that I don't know how to choose a good surface treatment for PCB. I hope you can help me choose a good one or tell me details about them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why would you need a PCB surface treatment for a TI-60 ?

@arbaman I changed it.

Jane, perhaps you can explain to the community why you are asking this question. The focus of this forum is helping people "fix their stuff". If this is for professional design purposes, you're not in the right forum. If it's for hobbyist use, then explain what you are trying to achieve and maybe someone can help.

@refectio Got it, thanks!
