does anyone know where to get the flash module from? Ive searched around the web and cant seem to find one. My only option at this point is to buy a camera from ebay that doesnt work and swap out parts.

Okay they are available but most certainly tricky to find. you are looking for the Sony Part number A-7078-867-A that is the actual board for your flash. Used to be available here and here hope you are sure about hte part that you need. If you need the parts and repair manual let me know so I can post it for you. Good Luck

thanks oldturkey. I checked those sites and one is in a language i am unfamiliar with. The other has a quantity available as 0. I guess I may have to go to ebay and buy a nonfunctioning camera and use it for parts. There are some available on there for under $20. I am pretty sure it is the flash module because it appears to be cracked on the inside. Do you have the parts? if there is a repair manual that is more detailed than what is on here that would be awesome? Thanks
Jeff Peterson, sorry I do not have the parts. But what I do have is the Complete Service Manual, do feel free to download it. The language that you are not familiar with with is Swedish and if nothing else I would most certainly drop them a note :-) Nothing wrong with International Commerce :-) anyhow you are probably right, ebay is a great place for stuff like that.
