Where do I start with this DSi repair/rebuild?

I recently tried repairing a water damaged DSi, but gave up on it due to lack of knowledge. Now, I want to return to it, but I haven’t got a clue where to start! I’ve disassembled quite a bit of it, and I don’t know what to replace, what to keep, or where anything goes. There are some things I am sure I need to replace, and I already have a replacement motherboard and battery. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Parts I’m sure I need to replace:

Parts I hope I can still use but am unsure about:

Parts that I am sure I can reuse:

If you need absolutely any more information, I will be happy to provide anything you may need to help. This is the first time I have ever touched the forums here, so if I did anything wrong in terms of convenient formatting, tell me. Thanks!

Hi!

Welcome to our forums.

Before replacing anything, I would first clean all components with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol (like this one) and some Q-tips. Make sure to remove the corrosion (or gunk in general) where ever you see it. Then I would reconnect the parts without using any screws, just to see if it’s working and what’s broken.

I would however avoid using that battery since it’s been water-damaged (link to replacement). Another thing I am worried about is the power board (the one from the 1st pic) and the motherboard.

Use out teardown guide if you need more help with disassembly/ assembly: Nintendo DSi Teardown

And keep me posted of you need more help.

The motherboard and battery are both spares, so they're fine. The power board I definitely have to replace. Thanks for the tip about cleaning the corrosion, though! I will definitely keep that in mind! Also, where would I find a replacement power board? I would have tested the one I had, but it was bent and I had accidentially snapped the ribbon cable.

Thanks for the help, though!
