Hey, Elaine. The first thing I would check is that the battery has a good connection. I’d also inspect it for bulging or any places that the “wrapping” has been pierced. The heat you’re feeling is likely something shorting the battery. Make sure the connection is good and if that doesn’t fix the problem you might have board level damage.
