Why do the -02A1 and -02A power supplies have different color wires?

iMac EMC 2134

So my 24" iMac went "pop" and stopped working a week later.

I opened it up, and quickly saw that a MOSFET on the supply went ka-boom. So I ordered a new power supply.

Old one is PA-3241-02A Rev A

New one is a PA-3241-02A1 Rev A

So I went to install it. Started connecting it up, and realized that one of the connectors (the AC power input, I guess, because the others are DC output, LCD inverter, and temp sensor) has different color wires going to it.

So, if I plug it in, Blue goes to Brown, and vice-versa. I'm no electrical tech or engineer, but this strikes me as something worth investigating.

Looking at the power board, the component that this is plugged into (a fuse, I gather, because it says T5A 250V on it) is also installed backwards from one supply to the other.

So before I plug this in, explode the iMac, and burn the house down, I figured I'd ask if this was a problem, or should I just let-er-rip?

Thanks

Do you have the 2.4 model or the 2.8 GHz model? Look on the bottom of your stand.

So, despite the fact that the wires end up plugging into the opposite color, the new power supply worked properly.

I think the new one is for a G5 iMac. Look at the photos here: http://jimwarholic.com/2009/04/apple-ima...
