The touch screen mostly works except for in the area of the crack on the screen. Does that mean the digitizer still works? Do I need to get just the LCD screen or both the LCD and digitizer? Thank you, Candi

You dont need to replace the lcd just the digitizer unless if theres black and white lines.

Oh good! But... I guess I thought the LCD was the actual outer glass/screen. And the digitizer was behind the screen.??
the digitizer is the outer layer of the screen and the LCD is behind the digitizer
