Why is my display not working?

About six months ago, I splilled water on my MacBook. I took out the logic board and cleaned it. Everything worked properly. I decided to clean the logic board again when I installed a new trackpad cable a few days ago. Upon reinstalling, the display doesn't work. I am able to use the computer fine with an external monitor. I can't figure out if it's a problem with the display socket on the logic board or if I should purchase a new replacement display.

It's impossible to answer your question without testing the logic board, or trying installing a known good screen. Given the history of your Mac I'd be more inclined to think about a logic board failure. Lvds connector and lcd enable circuit would be the first to check in my opinion.

Take a flashlight and shine it through the Apple Logo. Are you able to see your desktop icon’s? If you do then your issue is within the backlight circuit. It could be as simple as a burnt fuse link or needing a new driver chip.
