iPod remained in the water for a few seconds.

Hi. I recently dropped my 6th gen nano IPOD in the water, but I was able to take it away very soon. After that I dried it with a towel, left in the rice for 5 days, and, after this, dried it under a lamp for one night. Then, when I tried to charge it, the IPOD turned on and worked properly. Although it was kind of slow and whith some bugs sometimes, I even could listen to the musics. The problem is that when I disconnect it from the charger, the IPOD turns off immediately. It is like if it hadn't charged.

Any ideas of what components are damaged? Can I fix it?

Sounds like the battery is damaged. If you can get a new battery for it, I am pretty sure you can fix it.

I agree with hectordtruong. But to be more sure of it is to tear the Nano and clean the logic board and all the connections. the battery for the nano isn't available as of yet. But if some one knows where to get them, let us know.

Hope that helps. Good luck with that.
