Samsung UN60D7000VF. Lightening ??
Black screen, no startup, only 5 double flashes of the red error light, pauses then repeats. Suspect that surge entered via the cable (on cable linked equipment failed e.g. DVR, Blue Ray player and TV) Power surge protected

Samsung officially does not use blink codes. Your case sounds like a bad power board. You do want to disconnect every input source. Then disconnect the power cable. Hold the power button for about 30-60 seconds. Then plug your TV in and try to turn it on. If that does not work you will have to take the back of your TV and take a good look at the boards. Post some good images of those with your question. that will allow us to see what you see. Use this guide Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag for that.
