Black LCD after replacement but the phone still working

this lately, i just accidentally broke and smashed my iphone and the screen was shattered, the ribbon of home button and the lcd also the 3g front camera was snapped. I decide to buy some replacement for these part and install them. After i get the parts and firstly i check for the iphone whether it still alive or not, i connect the iphone to the itunes and i found the iTunes detected my device but i cant access because it need to unlock first. so i tried to connect the LCD and i found that the LCD was black and didnt have any visual. i wonder is it damage from the new LCD it self or it was from the logic board it self? i was worried if i get the new lcd and it still didnt work. i also try to put my simcard and the iphone still can receive the call, is this really means that my phone still can be saved? (plus, when i on the phone and connect to the itunes without lcd screen, i found the panel on upper side which sit directly under the lcd socket was little bit warm, is it normal?)

Did you unplug battery before plugging or unplugging screen?

Could be that backlight circuit went bad when connecting screen with the battery plugged in still.

If that is the case you'll need to bring the phone to a reputable that does board-level repairs for iPhones to get the backlight circuit fixed.

To test for no backlight unplug the battery, plug it back in and turn it on. Then shine a flashlight on the middle of the screen to check for the apple logo.

If you see a apple logo but very dim, the backlight circuit has gone bad on the phone.

Have you tried the old screen if it still works?

Could be just a faulty screen.

Use magnification to examine the LCD connectors on both the motherboard and cable. If any of the pins are damages or bent out of shape, the connections won't be made properly resulting in the problem described. Most of these that I have seen required the connector to be replaced on the motherboard.

still... i tried another screen and its still same.. i ask a store technician and he said that the problem was the motherboard but he didnt tell detailed about the damage. i wonder is which part of the motherboard were broke since i still can make a call and iTunes visible but theres was no screen.
