Weird fluctuating lines. Can this problem be fixed?

Hi, my TV just broke. We were watching a movie with black bars at the top and bottom. One horizontal line of pixels in the middle of the lower black bar started acting weird. It started flickering at one end and then continued to grow horizontally across the screen. Even though it was in the black bar, it seemed to fluctuate with the motion in the movie.

Okay so a half hour later, it all of the sudden grows considerable worse and in about 20 seconds, the entire screen is consumed in both horizontal and vertical lines. The colors of the lines were green and purple which matched the tones in the movie at the time. It was the nightclub scene of John Wick. Soon a lot of the lines turned white and some were black. But we left it on for a few minutes and the lines constantly fluctuate in very slow waves kind of like a screen saver. Always in the same tones of purple, white, black, and green. If I leave it on for longer without changing inputs, it seems to slowly fade to all white. If I change inputs or turn it on and off it goes back to slowly fluctuating and then eventually fades to all white.

I took both back panels off and reseated all of the cables including the ribbon cables at the bottom. It is still doing the same thing. I didn't notice any obvious damage.
