@uche4706 your car does not have a speedometer cable. Your Toyota's speedometer is controlled by a Speed Sensor (VSS)that is attached to the top of the bell housing. There is a spindle that matches up with the Flywheel, and there is an electronic pickup that detects how fast the Flywheel is spinning and Sends the signal to the Cluster. If the electronic pickup part of the Speed Sensor is not detecting how fast the Flywheel is spinning, your speedometer will not work. Now if your speedometer is not working, it could be the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) but also the cluster itself (which would be my first choice since a failed VSS or ECM would most likely trigger a "Service engine Light" OBD code) as well as the ECM. You do want to check on this. The instrument cluster comes out with 5 screws. The speedometer assembly comes out with 5 screws. Look under the odometer display for the speedo chip, and right next to it, is the ceramic resonator. You can try to bend the resonator over about 45 degrees. If that doesn’t fix it then buy a new speedometer assembly. If unsure you can always post some good images with your question which will allow us to see what you see. Use this guide Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag for that. Not sure what you mean by the “car movement is bad”. So, we would need more information on that.

Check your speedometer cable -- make sure it is connected to the transmission. Perhaps it has become disconnected.
If that is not the problem, see if there is a speedometer repair shop in your area. Getting your speedometer repaired is a lot cheaper than buying a new one.
What do you mean by "the car movement is bad"? Can you be more specific?

Greetings, I have a 1998 Camry 3.0L NAP to which I had already changed the VSS connector and cables. These replacement cables are white, without colors. Unfortunately these days I was working on one of the sensors and I accidentally broke those white wires and now I do not know what the order of them is. I have tried several combinations but I can not find the solution. The original harnes has three cables: one blue cable, one pink and one red.
If you have a photo of the VSS connector that shows what is the correct order and you would be so kind to publish it, I will thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Mr. Ruben Mendez
