Reachability works but Touch ID fails?

Hi,

I did a screen replacement on my iPhone 6. I bought it used for cheap and it looks like a third party had repaired it before. I changed the screen, and at first it told me that Touch ID cannot be set up.

I found out the home extension flex was torn so I replaced that.

Right now my home button works, and the reachability feature which used the sensor works. I am 100% positive this is my original home button, because the Touch ID “Add a Fingerprint” button is not disabled.

I’ve cleaned the connectors and brushed off any dust. There doesn’t seem to be damage to the actual flex cable.

What can I do from here? Thanks for any help.

Touch ID is correlated with your iPhone motherboard. It means that change of screen needs to be done with home button reassembly with oryginał Home button from your previous screen

He transferred the home button over. It allows him to use the reachibility mode, but not touch ID. It is not a problem about a non-original button

Ouch my mistake.

Sometimes a full system recovery with DFU mode helps with sensor issues.

Yes, it’s the original home button. A non-original home button would give me a prompt saying Touch ID cannot be activated. I will try a full restore.
