Where can one obtain the iSIght kit for the MacBook Unibody 13.3"

I have a MacBook Unibody 13.3" (model A1278) that has a broken iSight camera. I'd prefer not to replace the entire screen enclosure because it is not defective. Where can one find just the iSight kit?

By the way there is no reason to replace the entire display to fix the camera. As you may know removing the glass is difficult, but it's not impossible. An entirely new display kit is usually about $300-500. I'd rather have just the camera piece.

I have since found a vendor who is willing to sell me a broken display kit that has an intact iSight camera.. I will let you know how it goes.

No you don't to replace the whole screen assembly. I've repaired plenty of display side related problems all under the glass. Just be carful removing the glass as it's very thin. You'll want to be carful not to damage the wiring that connects to the camera as unlike most laptops which web camera wiring run under the display, this MacBook wiring runs in a grove right under the glass on the right side(if you are looking at the display). Good luck.

Alnwrld, a year a go you posted about changing out the iSight. I'm wondering how it went as I have the same issue. Is it possible to change out the camera?

Unfortunately, because it's unibody, you have to replace the whole display
