Microphone and Headphone jack still do not work after fixit replaced?

Originally had issue with what callers said was "very low volume" from the bottom speaker while the phone was used normally (up to face). Headphone jack, home button and lightning port worked fine, no issue when using the speaker phone or with BT. Purchased and installed ifixit headphone/mic/lighnting component per directions, all reassembled per instructions. Made sure to line up mic with hole etc. Cleaned protective mic screen on phone base as well prior to reassembly. NOW nothing from mic, nothing from headphone jack - lightning adapter to headphone works fine, phone charges normally and speaker phone works normal. Part ordered 6/8/18, installed 6/14/18.....Please help!!!
