Why wont my iPod touch 6th generation turn on!

Since i lost my apple charger for my ipod and I couldn't bother getting another one I ended up not using it for MONTHS and MONTHS and MONTHS. Now after all that time my sister want's it to listen to music and also because she dropped her phone down the toilet -_- The reason why i'm on here is because it wont turn on. I've tried heating up the battery, doing a soft reset, I can't pay for a new battery, take it apart and fix it my self CUZ THATS HARD! If anyone out there can help me figure out how to fix this thing, i would be very greatful!!

After all those months of storage, the battery is probably fully depleted. You could try to leave it on a charger overnight to see it it re-activates and charges. If it doesn't charge with a known-good charger and cable, then the battery is dead and will need to be replaced.

Replacing a battery in the iPod requires soldering so it's probably better to have it done professionally (if you want to spend the money).
