Why can i go on the internet and check Facebook, sports, ect, but I can not receive or make calls or text message but can call thru Facebook. I have no problem at home but if i go on a trip it often becomes like that and the person next to me with the same plan can still do everything?

If you cannot use anything but Internet and Facebook, it sounds like you are connected via WiFi, and your Data and text APN settings are not correct or you do not have a roaming plan or you have roaming disabled on your phone.

Also some other things to check is try toggling VoLTE (Voice over LTE), Wi-Fi calling.
Also OP can you confirm you can make phone calls with Wi-Fi disabled at home?
I don't have a roaming plan no where near WiFi.

i had the same problem so i went to settings >connections>mobile networks and switched it from LTE/3G/2G to only 3G/2G and it worked now i can make and receive phone calls

This morning my phone worked fine . now it tells me to deal a 1then the area code first but it still won't allow me to make the call out or receive calls I never had to use area code to make calls but internet works fine

First I would update your phone's software. For my Samsung Galaxy S21 FE I've been having my phone say "Searching for service" on the lock screen and it will say not registered on a network when trying to make a call. No calls or texts but data works fine. What worked for me was going to Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators, unchecking select automatically and selecting home. I think it is a software bug with my phone that causes this because it seems to happen randomly and will resolve on it's own after a day or so otherwise.

My phone won't allow me to change it from automatically choosing.
I've already restarted and reset my phone and it still saying . the same thing.

Mine did the same thing no text or talls but just fine internet not wifi in a friends home who had the same carrier but no issues? I figured out changing network LGE/4g/3g to a lesser communication network or switching it up was only way to get or receive calls and texts but was still unable to figure out why nor could i figure one network that stayed working in her home just for some reason, no one could answer after many calls and trips to my carriers store, i had to keep switchin up my network conection to use my phone in this home or even close to it , i began to think she had something in her home that caused the issuse , a scrambler or phone blocker that a tweeker may use tripping about phones in their home , i nor anyone on my carriers troubleshot line or in the store never could figure out just what it was

I tried all the answers before me, but it still didn't work. Then I try on/off airplane mode for several times. now it works at least for me. maybe worth to try

I just restarted my phone and it worked. Same situation. Calls would not go through and would hang up any incoming calls. Facebook messenger worked for calls and internet had no issues. Just a quick restart and no problem.

I have a simular problem. I am using the correct apn and it says im conected to the att network when i check the network operator… but when i try to mk a call ot says not registered on a network but i have perfect internet service. Can even use my hot spot. Just cant txt or call. It worked just fine a few days ago then i factory reset my phone and this happened

My phone was blocked by privacy protection password and I took to a repairman after the flashing my phone can't make and received call any time they always say, for internet connection only I changed the Sim card but still so please I need a help
