1 Won't turn on or charge
After working fine, one day my gear discharged and now won't charge or turn on ...any ideas?

This recently happened to me. After the latest software update, not sure of rev, my Gear seemed to not charge right. Then while on vacation it quit charging completely.
Ended up completely draining the battery so it would do nothing.
Just got it working again last night. I had to take off the back and clean the contacts between the back and the main board. After doing that and re-assembling the Gear charged fine. I let it sit on the charger overnight (was at 73% when I went to bed). This morning it was at 100% and I'm sitting at 86% now (9hrs later).
It appears that there was a little corrosion between the contacts and the rear of the watch that contains the wiring to magnetically charge the battery was giving too much resistance (or possibly open circuit) so the battery couldn't get a charge.
I may still need a new battery; will keep my eye on the usage rate over the next week or so. But I'm happy to have my Gear back in operation.

How and what did you clean the contacts with?
I have the same, or it appears to be, the same issue. Will try and advise......thanks!!
Thank you! I had this same problem and cleaning the pair of contacts on the inside back cover of the watch finally fixed it. There was evidence of old water residue inside and corrosion to one contact. I scraped the contact off with a screwdriver. Prior to this I suspected a bad battery and replaced it. That was not the problem. Thank you for this post about cleaning the contacts.
Mine went off and stopped charging. Checking the back I saw that the plastic lid was completely crushed and looked wet inside.
I removed the plastic lid and waited for it to dry, turning it back on, but I couldn't recharged it, I think it could be the contact or because it's broken the plastic lid that comes with apparently the wireless charging system.
