iPhone 6s turning on while plugged to power but not charging

Hello

my phone when plugged to power , will show that its charging when it is off , and it will turn on , but it will show battery percentage 3 , and will not charge further

the phone was not dropped or anything

one remark is from previous recent repair , there is some tiny scratches on the battery

also when i plug it to usb multimeter , when it is off it charge with 0.5 amp

when it is on it will charge with 0.001 amp

is it a battery problem or IC ?

You have to try a replacement battery, preferably one that is known-good in order to eliminate that as a possibility. If the replacement battery does the same thing, then you have a logic board issue.

i tried to replace the charging port and it worked , thanks for the support

i wonder why ? from what i noticed is that the cable is ok

Hesham, I had this happen once and it's a pretty rare occurrence.

I can only assume that the charger port somehow got damaged from a power surface from a cheap aftermarket charging cable / wall charger.

Usually it's the Tristar charging chip that gets damaged and not the charging port assembly.
