Why is my iPhone SE power button not working correctly.

Hey guys,

A little confused in this one. I know SEs are fairly notorious for issues.

Anyways, I had a typical power button repair on an iPhone SE A1723. The power button was not working at all. I finished the repair, and all the buttons, and flash were operating fine. The customer picked up the iPhone, and called me two days later saying that the buttons had stopped working correctly a day after she picked it up.

I got the iPhone back, and noticed that now that the volume buttons and flash still function, but the power button only works 50% of the time, and when it does work the response is delayed.

I opened it back up, checked the prongs, connectors, and cables and see no damage. I assumed it was a logic board issue, but fortunately had a spare SE logic board in the shop. I installed it and the power buttons still functions 50% of the time, and is still delayed.

My only though is that maybe the new power button cable was a dud??

Thoughts and ideas are appreciated!

It sounds like the new power button cable is faulty. Try another one. I doubt its a motherboard issue.
