when i insert cd or dvd of any game the console doesnt read it stays the same like when it doesnt have any cd or dvd!!
what can i do to fix it!?

I had similar problem on our ps2 it was resolved by opening the unit up and cleaning all the dust that had accumulated in there... And by a simple clean of the lens! I did a complete teardown because it would help keep the machine running longer/ prevent overheating/shorting. I was amazed by how much dust gets in there! Just need to find a guide to help you open up the slim!

My lazer just comes down and touches the motor when a disk is inserted.
Even the disk doesnt spin , but the lazer comes down and touches the motor in almost 5 seconds. Pls do tell me what I need to do.

As polytintop mentioned in their comment via this link you need to make sure the PS2 knows the door is shut or the system won't turn the disks. Then try cleaning your laser lens with isopropyl alcohol,there is a video covering that here. If that doesn't work you may want to try adjusting your laser(s) height and/or intensity. Instructions for doing that are here and here. If the problem hasn't been solved yet you will need to replace your laser lens assembly. All PS2s do not have the same laser lens assembly. You will need to find the part number on the assembly before purchasing 1 that goes with your specific model and revision of PS2. Many places also tell you what specific model and revision use the lens they are selling. YouYou can purchase new ones here or on eBay, on eBay you will need to make sure you are buying new or to save some money used.
