Question Mark folder on MBP 15" late 2013

My MBP appear Question Mark Folder,

after I use a lot of Chrome tab (25) and other apps, it show the rainbow sign,

I become inpatient with it, then i close my MBP, then the Question Mark folder appear.

I have to mention my dad coz my MBP fall down and coz a dent in my left outer edge and slightly uneven screen damage. But it still work but after this Question Mark folder, I cannot load the computer.

I also have Windows 7 bootcamp that I have delete it before.

I tried this before it doesn't work. because that one is old version of MBP.

I took them to the Apple Store Genius Bar, What they found is they are guessing that my CPU is still running hot, possible that my SSD might fail, and motherboard as well. It will cost me $2200 to fix it if my SSD, motherboard and CPU fail.

They can run some MacOS when they plug it in their network.

I have buy a new MBP then, because my Apple Care Already Expired, and it cost $2200.

So It has been a year since my MBP have problem.

But I need that file on that MBP though.

On reddit people suggest me to buy https://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/MAU3...

And USB A converter.

How can I fix it?

And what kind of tools do I need to buy from ifix it?

From the web, for SSD replacement.

MacBook Pro 15" Retina-scherm eind 2013 Vervanging van de SSD

Also, I am thinking if i cannot fix it, I will just pay $2200 to replace my part on Apple Store.

But first, I will need to recover my file.

Does Apple still can accept to repair it after i took out the SSD?

Thanks

The question mark icon tell you that the macbook cant find a boot volume.

The redit people are correct with that device you cant mount your ssd to another macbook.

If you buy that device you can test if the SSD is still correctly working and maybe recover your files.

Just put the ssd back if you still want it repaired by Apple.
