Loss of red color

No red in phone display. When phone boots red color shows in logo, but then changes to gray. After boot finishes there is no red in display.

Had to do a restore to get color back. Thanks for the tip.

Hi,

Try starting the phone in safe mode

To enable safe mode:

Ensure that the phone is Off.

Press and hold the Power key operated

When "Blu" logo is displayed, release the Power key.

Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume Down key.

Keep holding down the Volume Down key until the phone finishes rebooting.

Release the Volume Down key when you see 'Safe Mode' appear in the lower left corner of the screen.

Check if the colours are normal.

If they are then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one is the culprit.

You'll need to uninstall each downloaded app one by one and test the phone after each un-installation. Once the phone display is normal the last app that you uninstalled was the culprit. Try by uninstalling the latest ones installed or updated from when the problem first started.

If it is still happening in safe mode, perhaps a factory restore may fix the problem.

Be aware that a factory restore (also known as a hard reset) will erase all your data and downloaded apps. It will restore the phone to its' factory default condition (or last system update condition).

Perform a backup of the phone before you do a factory restore.

Use the phone's backup feature to backup the phone.

Then use the phone's factory restore feature to reset the phone.

Once the reset has been completed, check that the phone's display colours are OK.

If so, restore the phone using the phone's restore feature, with the backup you created earlier.

Check that the phone's display is still OK. if it is then the reset has fixed the problem.
