New In/out Board stil problem charging - sometime

I was given a MacBook Air 13” Mid-2013 with major water spill. I reset the SMC, and it work for a while. Then it stop charging. It was weird, on battery it would work, but as soon as I plug the power supply, the screen would shut down and it would not charge

I change the In/out Board. No luck

I realize that the screen was shutting down but not on the external screen. The light on the cable does not turn orange or green. No charge. I shut it down, and let it stay for the night. The next day, everything work properly. I used it for a week. perfect. not one problem.

Now the screen started again to shut down randomly (sometime every 15 second Sometime 5 minutes The battery does not charge a anymore problem seems bigger when power supply is connected

I unconnected the battery is seems to work fine or On battery only, I have almost no shutdown of the screen (maybe none I did not test more than 5 minutes) I reset the SMC again No luck :-)

I just connected the external display with battery and charger after a few shutdown of both screen, now it seems ok... still not charge

Brief history

Because of the water damage, I don’t want to much money in in. The person drop his coffee on the keyboard so he when under the faucet and other water at full speed :-) then he let it dry for a few hour and he say that the computer restart by itself. He start to have shutdown problem so he bought another MBA and gave this one to me to get back this data, which I did and now he gave me the computer. :-)

P.S. It’s the second time that he’s done that coffee-faucet strategy. The first time the computer still works for 2 year. Not this time.

Update (04/15/2018)

Update.

  • Now as soon as I pull the power supply, the screen shot down
  • can't restart with power plug in
  • reset SMC, Press power on, nothing happen , unplug power supply, computer start normally.
