Bose Wave CD/Radio Model AWRC-1G

Bose is notorious for making their products not easily fixable and then charging big bucks for doing the fix themselves. Would much appreciate anyone having experience with the Wave Radio/CD player model AWRC-1G service manual or parts manual letting me know where they may be found. Thanks in advance.

I have a unit that, when plugged in, it will sometimes light up (the display) and be fully functional, then I'll come back later and it's seemingly dead. Come back the next day and it may or may not be lit and fully functional again. Have replaced the 9V but wondering if anyone has any idea what the possible cause/ solution for this could be.

Hi @mitch30 ,

Not sure if this is for your particular model variant, but here is a link to a Bose Wave Radio / CD service manual. (scroll down the webpage to find the Download link - looks like this "Download >> To download the file, please, click here ! << Download" The donate option is up to you.

Hopefully it may be of some help. Apologies if this is not the correct one or if you've been here already

Ive has a Bose Wave Radio model AWRC-1G that's been stuck on military time for 21 years. We had a cat that slept on it and would push the buttons at random. We had lost the manual, so couldn't figure it out. If you have such a cat, here's the secret: turn it off, press the "alarm setup" button. Get the paw of your cat and press the on/off button to toggle 12 hr/24 hr clock. Or go to page 38 in the linked file.

Just want to know the battery type for the remote

Hi @leisactb

If the Bose radio / cd is model #AWRC-1G then the remote's battery is a CR2032 coin cell battery which is commonly available most everywhere even supermarkets.

Here's a link that shows how to install it and here is where it states the model number.

If your radio is not the model number as shown then usually with coin cell button batteries the type number is stamped on the battery itself along with a +ve symbol that denotes the polarity of the battery. When removing the old battery take note of where the +ve symbol is e.g. on top or underneath etc so that you replace the new one in the same way
