Why does'nt my turn on? The apple comes up on my screen comes up, the
Line moves up, but goes all the way, stays all the way to the right, then after hours it will shut off. Any ideas?

Your hard drive or filesystem has probably gone bad. Try making an OS X installer on a flash drive, and use disk utility to check and repair the disk. Chances are you will probably have to replace your hard drive, or at least reinstall your OS.

I had 2 MacBook pros. One has been down a few years, the other a couple of weeks. I took the hard drive out of the old one and put it in the other one, it came right on. I'm a 64 year old female, I've had 3 strokes, and I've never even loosened a screw on a computer. Thanks so so much, you're a life savers. God bless.
