Why won't my Automatic Ford Mercury Cougar won't go into park, reverse, or drive it's to sloppy . How can I fix this?

When was the last time you
• had the transmission fluid levels checked
• had a tune up
• had someone look at the transmission itelf
• how do the belts look on the car?
