MacBook 13.3" A1342 2010 "cladding" is peeling. How to make it adhere? The nice sticky covering for the lower part of the computer has become unstuck. What's the best product to re-adhere it?

Can't really re-secure the old silicone coating. The best solution is to strip it off fully and giving the case a good sanding and then dye the case. Here's an example: Before & After: MacBook Dye Project & Macbook Dye Project

Otherwise you'll need to replace case shell parts. Which can get expensive.

I don't want to dye the computer. It looks just fine the way it is and I have no interest in making it colorful. The non-slip cover is more like a membrane than a "coating" and it's one of the features I like so I want to keep it.

I find it hard to believe there isn't an adhesive that would do the trick and am going to pursue my own Fixes (carefully!)

I gave it a try once using some silicone chalk it ended up a mess as when you squeeze out the excess you stretch it and it just looks bad. a small area you might get it to work. I ended up replacing the cover part.
