How do I change the headlight bulbs? 2005 Grand am

open the hood,you will see a black plastic panel that extends from the right fender to the left fender,above the radiator,it is held in place with 8 plastic push in clips with a center core, use pliers and pull up on the center core,this will release the clip,then pull them out,remove the plastic panel,some are small and some are larger, they will need to go back in the same holes! now look down behind the headlight housing,you will see 2 black flat pieces of metal with a hole in it, these are the 2 clips that secure the headlight housing in place,using pliers, pull the clips toward the engine, then upwards,you only need to lift them~ 1 inch up,this releases the housing,pull the housing out and change the bulb, now its tricky to install the housing, there is 2 white guides on top of the housing and a black guide on the bottom, they all need to fit into the mating guides at the same time! once they do and the housing is in place,push the black clips down, to lock the housing in place,the rest is in reverse of taking apart!
