My ipad just got cracked and it isn't changing.

I dropped my Ipad 2 on 2/20/18 at about 7:00 PM and it cracked about a third of the screen. It was dead and i plugged it in. It went to the little black screen with the white apple, but it flashes white then go to like a black with kinda a lit tone and it goes back to the black screen with the apple...I don't know what to do... We got it 5 years ago and we broke another one the same way but it never did this. My friends phone is cracked HORRIBLY and it isn't affecting anything. mine is just a few cracks. I don't know what is wrong with it! Can somebody help me and tell me what to do? Tank you!

Um I am not sure but you may have damage a component in the I pad or you disconnected the snap in the phone for the charging port. Although it may be a small fall with few cracks on the screen. It is possible you may have damaged it badly internally. You can try to chanothe crab by your self, and check if you have disconnected the batter snap. You can also try calling Apple and tell them what happened and they most likely can help you find the problem if you set up a meeting with them. Sorry if this is not useful. Best of luck to you and your ipad

It's an old device with an old battery. Your battery could have just bit the big one after being used so long and the drop was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Replacing any component requires removing the digitizer, and if it's cracked that means a full replacement.

If it's responding at all when you plug it in your charging port is likely fully connected, and it actually has a retaining bracket over it. In your situation I would suggest a battery and digitizer replacement.
