iPhone 6s+ touch lag on battery, but not when charging after screen an

I replaced a screen and battery on a 6s+. The customer brought it back afterwards because he said it was laggy. I did a factory reset on it but that didn't work. So I tested the phone with a couple other new screens but that didn't fix it. I also tried a couple new batteries but that didn't fix it. I noticed it was fine when charging but not when unplugged. Any thoughts on what might cause this?

As a shop owner, I'll safely assume that you can vouch for the good working condition of the replacement parts you tried. In that case, it's hard to say what could be causing the problem. Did the customer give you any background history of the device?

Considering all of the issues with the iPhone 6S, aftermarket screens and iOS 11 (you can read more on that here) as well as the throttling issues Apple has admitted to (you can read on that here), it sounds like it could be a lot of things. Make sure the phone is up to date, try some known-good parts (again) and see. If that doesn't solve it, then I suspect there may be a deeper issue, perhaps on the logic board.

Maybe try buying an iCloud locked 6S and try using some parts from that and see if that works. If not it’s probably a logicboard issue. Good luck
