I try to turn on my Xbox and the power brick is lighting up orange but the Xbox won't turn on period..It's not lighting up or anything but when you press the button to turn on you can still hear the sound it makes when your trying to turn it on..

Unplug the power supply til the orange light goes out. Before you plug it back in, blow hard through one of the holes in the power supply. Lots of dust will blow out. Keep doing this with the other holes until it is clear. Plug it back in. Turn on the power switch.

You might have to get a new power brick because the same thing happened with mine and my xbox is COMPLETELY OK. If it is not the power brick, there could be a disc stuck inside which CAN cause the XB1 to bug out. If none of this works, There could be a problem with something inside the Xbox like the motherboard. If you need help with one of these answers, it’s best to search it up.

There was a disk stuck inside bit i had sorted that out, still no luck. Got a new power block and yet no luck again. so i guess its the motherboard but at the extortionate prices i believe it is best to get a new console.
Just unplug from the outlet and wait about 10 seconds, plug it back in, then wait about 3 minutes. Should turn on as I just did that and it fixed

It’s did it to me before and i just didn’t play it for a while and it started working but i tried turning it on today and it just beeps i tried blowing on all the spots and i’m trying to unplug it and let it sit for a while to see if that works hopefully i don’t have to buy a new brick but we’ll see

My symptoms are slightly different, as I hear / see / smell NOTHING when I attempt to power on my XB1 original, using a known good power supply. Other units I have repaired in the past exhibited these symptoms when the power button ribbon cable inside the top cover was disconnected. After checking this unit, however, the cable was correctly installed. Any thoughts?

I have this same problem as well.
When I plug in the original power supply into the wall outlet, but not the Xbox, the light on the power supply remains a constant yellow/orange tint.
When the original power supply is then plugged into the Xbox, the light immediately goes away within 1 second.
I then bought a non-OEM power supply off of Amazon - YCCSKY (thinking this would be the fix).
When this power supply is plugged into the wall, but not the Xbox, the light also remains a constant yellow/orange tint.
When this power supply is then plugged into the Xbox, the yellow/orange light begins flashing.
With the original power supply plugged in fully (wall outlet and Xbox) and no light on, I get no sounds from the Xbox at all when pressing the power button or the eject button.
With the non-OEM power supply plugged in fully (wall outlet and Xbox) and a flashing light, I can at least get very faint sounds from the power button and the eject button, but still nothing happens.

Brawl my Xbox won't turn on even though that the power is working fine and my break is lighting up orange and the Xbox makes the Xbox sound like when you turn it on but it doesn't seem to turn on
