Why does my shift schaft pop off on my Pontiac G6 2006
My shift schaft pops off when I am driving and when I stop it will still be in drive, because the shift does not work. I have tried to find a gadget to keep it from popping off, but nothing seems to work.

When you say pops off, do you mean that the handle pops off the shaft? If so then it has probably lost the grub screw that holds it in place.
