kathy demerchant, when you replaced the LCD did you make sure all connections are seated right and are properly made? I would open it back up and verify all connections. Double, no triple, check your work. Sometimes it's the little things that matter. You had no trouble before you replaced the LCD?

hi there, I took it apart again and double checked everything. It all looks good to me... The LCD screen was damaged before but the DSI still worked no problem. Now it wont even turn on. So I am wondering if I cold have possibly damaged soemthing while inside? Not usre what to do :(

Hello. The symptoms that you describe almost exactly match a faulty upper LCD. When the ribbon cable going from the upper LCD to the motherboard is damaged or incorrectly seated the console does not operate. Make sure that the connection between the Motherboard and the upper LCD is solid (the connector is on the underside of the motherboard). The ribbon cable should go all the way into the ZIF connector; if you have to, use a spudger or tweezers to completely insert the cable.

Good luck, and let us know how it works out.

kathy, don't worry to much about having damaged something. Usually it is a loose connection or a cable not properly attached. Also make sure that your battery is working and makes good connections. Same with your power connector. Here are a couple of sites that I use whenever I need an extra bit of help. http://www.tygarbyte.com/Nintendo%20DSL%... and http://m3wiki.com/index.php/Nintendo_DS_... and as always, one step at the time. If you do to much at once you find yourself getting lost in your own repair. Brett Hartt gave you some solid advise as well, check it out. I bet its something simple ;-)
