When making a call I am unable to hear a dial tone or the phone ringing or the person being called but they can hear me. When someone calls me, I Swype to answer the call but don't hear a connect tone or the caller. Texting functions seem to work fine. Audio works fine when watching a movie or listening to on line media.

Can you hear a caller OK when using the earphones with the microphone attachment on a call?
Can you hear the caller OK when using loudspeaker(or hands free) mode? You should be able to hear OK in this mode as given your description - "Audio works fine when watching a movie or listening to on line media", - the loudspeaker seems to be working.
If you can hear OK on a call when using the earphones and also when using the loudspeaker option then the problem is either a faulty (or loose) receiver in the phone or perhaps there is a problem with the earphone jack

No when someone rings me they can’t hear a dialling tone it doesn’t ring on there end !!
