Overheating S4 Cpu & Gpu

I have 2 Galaxy s4 Phones, i have replaced the lcd digitiser frame Assembley and have had overheating issues with a major clock redudction of the Cpu & Gpu, it causes notacable lag and heat on the Rear of device underneath camera flash (where I believe soc to be) as well as on glass underneath earpeice, i have tried the original thermal pads transferred into new displays, Also Tried replacing thermal pads (GELID Solutions GP-Extreme Thermal Pad 12 W/mK) with little to no effect, Any ideas welcome, very frustrating as have 2, Thanks

@a_star_repairs did you have those issues before you did replace the display assembly?

I am actually not sure, both phones had cracked displays and wasnt ecinomical to replace at the time. could only be tested with a MHL cable and bluetooth mouse and no testing past checking main functions work, just seems strange that it affects 2 devices in same way
