Yamaha P45 won't turn on, can't find a solution...

Hey.

My digital piano Yamaha P45 suddenly won't turn on after pressing the power button.

I tried to change the adaptor but didn't work, I also desperately tried to find a solution to this problem on the internet, but still can't find it.

Could you please help me ?

Thank you a lot.

I'm sorry you haven't found an answer here. You should vent your frustration against the manufacturer. If they don't provide the service information you need then there's a limit to the extent to which a community such as this can help.

A key to getting a good answer is to ask a good question. When did your thing stop working? If it still works a bit, what works and what doesn't work? Are there any other symptoms, e.g. a burning smell? Did anything happen to it which might be the cause, e.g. it fell on the floor, or you used a random mains adapter? What have you tried? What sources of help hve you already consulted?

Sometimes archive.org will have information that has long since disappeared from a manufacturer's website. Russian and Chinese websites yandex.ru and baidu.cn will occasionally point you to leaked proprietary info that the manufacturer has pressured Google not to show.

If you're sure the substitute power adapter was a compatible one and working properly there's nothing for it but to take it apart.

I presume no lights come on and there is no sound at all when you turn it on. Most probably a fault in the power supply section. There may be a fuse inside which you can replace, though if it's blown at may well indicate some other problem which caused it to blow.

Look for any signs of overheated components. Also look for swollen electrolytic capacitors (see https://therestartproject.org/wiki/Basic...). Look for the rectifier diodes (https://therestartproject.org/wiki/Activ...) and test them with a testmeter.

It works of a 12volt DC wall adaptor so there won't be any rectifier diodes in the main unit.

The blinking red light indicates it is some kind of fault state, this can be triggered by faults in various places within the overall circuit so no easy solution I am afraid! I have seen main processor pcbs on aliexpress, replacing this as the most likely problem area may be possible. I am currently looking into that for my mothers keyboard with the same issue.
