I've been facing no sound issue only on Bluetooth connection while playing music, it works fine for calls and auxiliary connection. I've tried doing a power drain and recharged my device, also tried a reset however still can't play music through Bluetooth. I also connected the speaker to a different phone however the problem is still there.

Will it start playing music and then stop, or does it just not work at all?

You might explore your phone's settings to see if there's a music vs call setting. If the other phone you tried was an Android, it might be a new update. Otherwise, maybe open the speaker to look for damage if it's not still under warranty.

This is not my issue, there is no issue from the phone. I am not able to find a thread I came across two days ago where it showed a problem with a capacitor or some other small piece of hardware that needs to be replaced, there was a video link top however the language was Russian I guess hence I couldn't understand the fix.
some phone need to open the Bluetooth settings & enable "music" instead of only "calls" in the particular paired Bluetooth audio device...mine was honor 8 & had same issue when trying to pair to car audio via Bluetooth

Assuming that you can BT pair the speaker successfully, does it work on BT if you have the charger connected (and switched on) to the speaker?

No, it doesn't unfortunately.
I am able to make calls through the speaker it's just the music that doesn't play through BT.

I would try resetting (power cycling) your bluetooth device and the JBL. Unpair the JBL and re-pair the Bluetooth connection. This works with a lot of bluetooth devices.

I did that already however it didn't help in resolving the issue.
