When I call someone on my phone, my voice sounds muffled.
When I make a call my voice sounds muffled, the receiver cannot hear/understand what I am saying. The phone is 3 years old.

Hi @markokjan ,
Try using the earphones with the microphone attachment on a call and check that you can be heard properly.
If so then there is a problem with the phone's internal microphone or perhaps the voice inlet hole at the bottom of the phone is partially blocked with lint or dust.
Use a bright light and a magnifying glass to check that the voice inlet hole at the bottom of the phone is not blocked with lint or dust.
If it appears to be blocked DO NOT use a pin or probe to try and clear it as you might damage the microphone which is directly behind the hole.
Try a vacuum cleaner, using short sharp bursts to see if this clears the obstruction.
If it appears not to be blocked and it is OK when using the earphones with the microphone attachment then there may be a problem with the microphone itself.
If you cannot be heard properly when using the earphones with the microphone attachment either then there is a problem with the voice transmission circuitry in the phone.

this was very helpful. Cleared out the voice inlet (phone is used on construction sites) with the vacuum and the voice is now clear and easy to hear. Thank you!

I will try this to see if it will resolve my issue with my A51. I can be talking to someone and suddenly they cannot hear me. I can hear them perfectly. Happens very intermittently and lasts anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. Very frustrating!!!!Phone was purchased August 2020 and has never been underwater but sounds like it. Also when I put it on speaker so I can hear the other person better, they can't hear me at all.
Christina, something I've found is if you are on a call and decide to watch a video or listen to music it will make your voice muffled to the other person. I'm looking for a way to fix this.

I find my callers sound muffled ,fade in and out or distorted on certain networks..I'm fed up with saying please speak up,or are you speaking into the mouthpiece?..
I've noticed when they admit to they have a speaker problems I know then it's not my device..as they can hear me clearly...
