Plastic on battery pods.

The replacement battery came with clear plastic covers on each of the battery pods. Do I need to remove those before I install. Looks like they should, but I couldn't find anything that referred to them. They don't come off super easy.

When I began to do this on 1 of the 6 the replacement battery pods, it slightly puffed up. I had only pulled up about a 1/4 of the clear covering from the battery.. So is it bad or unsafe to use now??

Depends on what you mean by puffed up. Sometimes I get batteries with like vein marks on them? Is it like that?

When pulling these protective plastic films make sure to hold the battery cell in place when doing so.

No vein marks.

Pod puffed up like 2mm, no longer hard like other 5.

OK, so if one of the battery cells are puffed up like that they are not safe to use. It will usually expand pretty quickly later on and you would need to get the battery replaced.
