iPhone 6 Doesn't Turn On, No Vibrations

Have an iPhone 6 I'm looking at and it does not turn on with a known working cable or different battery. I've tried to switch the silent switch on and off and it does not vibrate, not even when holding down the power button after the battery has been plugged up. What else could I do to troubleshoot? (asides testing a new screen, which I'm doing tomorrow)

did you get it to try and fix it or was it working before, if it wasnt working before it could be an issue on vcc main. like the pmic, tristar a faulty capacitor like c5202_rf, anyone of these could be the problem its just locating the faulty component

do you have an usb amp meter?

A little history on the phone would be nice . Was it dropped or does it have any damage . water damage? I find knowing why the phone stopped working in the first place narrows down where to look .

Ah sorry, someone brought it in after trading for it. No past history other than the seller said it needed a new battery. I don't have a USB amp meter, according to the looks and sim card water sticker it hasn't been in any. No corrosion appears, though I think I should remove the logic board to check just to verify.

I have zero soldering/micro-soldering experience. :p

freeze spray and a dc bench power supply come in handy

Have you tried to connect it to iTunes? Does iTunes recognize the phone? If it does, then your problem is more backlight related.

If it doesn't, then disconnect everything except the battery and Dock and see if iTunes will recognize the phone. If it still doesn't, then you most likely have a logic board issue. At that point, you have to start doing some logic board level troubleshooting. Daniel gave some good suggestions in his comments. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, then you need to find a reputable micro-solderer to look at this phone.

I've attempted to connect to iTunes, no Windows connection sounds or any indication of iTunes detecting the phone. When powering on the device, there's no vibration on boot or after around a minute and trying the silent switch. Multiple batteries haven't worked. So yeah I assume it's a logic board issue too.

I've never attempted any logic board level troubleshooting, though I'm very interested in learning to expand my skill set. What tools would I require, and what do you recommend?

Start by Googling to find the schematics, they are available (sorry, can't share them here). GSMHosting usually has them. Then see if you have a multimeter with nice sharp probes. Check the main voltage rails to see if they are shorted (PP_VCC_MAIN, PP_BATT_VCC, PP5V0_USB). Report back.
