The power cord input on the back of the motherboard is loose.

I ordered a new power cord that hooks into the rear of the Satellite A105 laptop. The cord was ran under the fan, so I've removed the fan but it's some of it under the board itself. My question is what's the easiest way to replace this cord???

Wilkes, I opened the Maintenance Manual for your laptop model up on my storage site. Do feel free to look at it especially chapter 4 in the 2nd part that deal with the CPU and the fan. I hope that this will help you out http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/2530549/... and http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/2530550/... ....good luck and let us know what worked.

Wilkes, I know this kind of task can get frustrating, but always make sure that all connection are seated tightly and that all connections were checked for corrosion and debris. Make sure that you go through it systematically, start with something like your power cord and work your way backwards right to the PSU and CPU. You may also try and reset your machine, remove the battery and memory and reseat all of those as well. Let us know what you have done and what did and didn't work. And it is okay to accept and answer if it helped or to upvote it to get more help from anyone that can help :) good luck
