Rose Maxwell, 1st link talks of a recall on the seat mechanism and it may be worth checking if your Saturn has a recall on this also, you can do a search using your (year/make/model seat recall) or check with local GM dealer. If not repairable through recall, easiest fix for this would be to visit a good local auto recycler(scrap yard) and purchase a good working used seat. Most wrecking yards may be able to do install for small fee if you do not want to do your self. 2nd link below showing seat removal, Good luck.
