Unresponsive in all aspects.

My phone had started resetting every once in a while a few times a day. Usually it would reboot just fine and had no problems charging. Sometimes it would lag to the point where I had to take out the battery, place it back in and power it back on again. This happened last night, so I removed the battery, placed it back in and attempted to power it on. It would not power on, when connected to the charger it would not respond in any way, no LED or anything. It is currently plugged into my computer and when it is the computer recognizes that it is plugged in but cannot recognize the device. Is there any way to fix this without taking it in to get fixed? I am afraid if I do that I will lose pictures, videos, music, etc. Please note that I have to to get an actual response from the phone in anyway. I haven't been able to boost it in safe mode or even boost it at all. I figure it's a long shot being able to fix it myself but I thought it would be worth a try.
