Trackpad and keyboard are unresponsive

Hi guys!

So my trackpad became unresponsive, I brought it in for the apple genius to look at and he cleaned a wire underneath the trackpad and it worked for about 6 hours.

Now my trackpad won't work or my keyboard. They are both unresponsive. My computer will turn on randomly. I'm wondering if I get a USB keyboard would it work? Some questions here have said that it also affects how the computer reads USB ports. Maybe a Bluetooth one could work?

If there's any other solutions (hopefully more long term haha) I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!
