Unfortunately, the spec sheet is very vague on that samsung chip set, so its difficult to know if it will be compatible. There are a number of version for the blade type SSDs, so i cannot comment on its compatibility with a full spec sheet.

The other frustration is that not even Apple specify the specific port type. Their reference is to a 5.0GT/s PCIe x2 port.

The best course of action in my opinion, would be to wait for a company to confirm its compatibility through extensive testing.

OWC are working on a solution that is noted as 'coming soon' that will be much more cost effective than apples options, but when they release it, it will have confirmed compatibility.

Samsung and Apple dont really get along, so their spec sheets will rarely match up, unless you can find specific details elsewhere from someone who can do extensive checks on the port type and their compatibility. But it'll take someone who has access to the logic boards schematics really, which are not available to the public.

I hope this helps.
