Shield connector broken-phone won't turn on

Looking for help please.

I have an iPhone 6 that won't switch on.

It connects to a pc via the cable but nothing on screen.

All that I can see wrong inside the phone is that the small flex connector at the bottom of the shield, that takes the home button flex - is totally ruined.

2 previously functioning screens are not firing up on this device.

Would this broken shield connector stop the screen working all together? Or just effect the home button functionality?

Here's what I know so far:

-The phone appears dead after a screen replacement

- The shield flex that takes the home button flex is damaged.

- When connected to a pc, the phone appears on screen as a device (although with no screen to respond on, I cannot authorise access)

-When connected to a charging source, I get no signs of life via vibration when switching the mute button on and off.

- I DO get a small vibration response when I press the power button and the two volume buttons (diagnostic snapshot?).

Could the phone be stuck in some kind of state, and need a power/home button reset (which I can do when I restore the home button connection)?

Just replaced the metal shield plate and reinstated the home button connection.

Still having the same problem.

Does iTunes or 3UTools report anything about the phone being in recovery mode? Or for 3UTools normal mode as well?

No sign of this unfortunately

Can you upload a picture for the damage before buying anything?

Normally that would just effect home button functionality but other times it can effect other things my advice is try a battery replacement usually the culprit 90 percent of the time

Try to boot up your phone whitout connecting the home button flex.

To be honest, the shield flex connector is so broken, it is as good as disconnected already. There are gold teeth missing from the connector.

Home button connector is in good shape thankfully.

I would still disconnect the home button extension cable because just having it plugged in stopped my iPhone from booting Edit: (I even unplugged the home button from the extension cable too).

I just had a customer come in today to replace broken extension cable home button stopping boot. Usually they are faulty when the metal plate is missing for home button connector.

I've heard of this stuff happening. From a very unreliable tech. Not saying you guys. But when I would try to recreate these errors, I can't seem to get it to do it

I know the home button extension cable has to be broken in a certain way which is weird.

I've had other damaged home button extension cables that would just not allow the home button to function, so they break in different ways.

Picture of the metal piece that separates from extension cable if not pryed properly:
