I have a VSX-821 some of the time it will come on with no problem some times I have to unplug it and plug it back in then the system will come on can you tell me what to do to fix this problem.

Hi,
As there could be a number of reasons for your problem unfortunately there is no simple answer.
It could be anywhere from a loose connection to a problem with a protection circuit etc.
The best way is to follow the No Power troubleshooting flowchart in the service manual to diagnose the problem.
