Game Slot & SD slot wont recognize any games or SD cards

Any game that is put into the slot the Ds wont even know its there. There is no error message or anything that the ds even picks it up. The same is with the SD card, I've tried many different SD cards i even put it into a 3DS and it reads. Nothing worked.
